Game Jam Postmortem

Sep/24/2019 Game Jam Postmortem         Overall, I am very pleased with the result of this jam. Our team was able to make a "functioning" multiplayer game within the week and revisiting it on Monday we had lots of fun finding all the bugs and generally breaking the game. Not everything was implemented correctly though. We had the animations for the main character come in on the last day just hours before the deadline and so weren't put in. The same thing happened to the sounds. The majority of the issues we faced could have been solved if we correctly used the SVN. We all had separate projects that we tried to merge together on the last day by flash-drives. This approach caused several issues and the game ended up not building at the last second because of it. In  future jams to remedy these problems I will make sure that everyone in the team knows how to use the SVN and make sure they commit everything they have, no matter how early of a version it is (mostly art).
